Few storms possible out west tonight, then better chances at times this weekend. Latest here ~ Mia
WEATHER HEADLINES:
• Few storms possible Friday night closer to the Rio Grande
• Patchy drizzle early Saturday, then better rain chances by Saturday evening
• Unseasonably cool and drier start to next week
FORECAST DETAILS:
Good afternoon! A cool front has slowly seeped into the northern parts of our area today, but will stall overhead into the weekend. Highs reach for the 80° mark this afternoon in San Antonio, but will likely be a bit cooler across portions of the Hill Country.
A few storms will be possible out west (closer to the Rio Grande) tonight, mainly after 9 pm. Whatever activity is found on the radar should generally weaken and eventually fizzle out as it approaches the I-35 corridor.
A few pockets of drizzle will be possible Saturday morning, before a lull in rain activity around midday. Take the umbrella out to any Fiesta plans by Saturday afternoon though, as rain chances increase into Saturday night. We'll keep eyes out for an isolated strong storm, but the main thing to monitor will be pockets of heavy rainfall. A few localized spots could pick up on 1"+ inch of rain, but those totals won't be for everyone unfortunately. Still -- we'll definitely take what we can get!
A drier weather pattern takes over into Sunday as the front finally pushes through. It'll be windy, too, as cooler and drier air filters in to kick off next week. Speaking of which -- highs may struggle to climb out of the 60s on Sunday, followed by 70s on Monday. That's good news for the River Parade!
We'll keep you posted on any updates. Have a great afternoon! ~ Mia
